SimpleBixolonPrint Privacy Policy

1. Data processed

• Bluetooth identifiers: paired printer MAC address and device name.
• User-provided print content: text and images (Base64 or URL).
• Local technical logs for troubleshooting.

2. Permissions used

• BLUETOOTH and BLUETOOTH_ADMIN (legacy Android compatibility).
• BLUETOOTH_CONNECT and BLUETOOTH_SCAN (Android 12+).
• INTERNET to download remote images included in print jobs.

3. Purpose

• Discover and connect Bixolon printers over Bluetooth.
• Send print jobs to the connected printer.
• Remember selected printer for future jobs.

4. Retention and storage

• Selected MAC is stored locally in SharedPreferences.
• Print images and intermediate data are processed in memory and released after printing.
• No analytics telemetry or automatic upload to VALNEX servers in observed code.

5. Sharing

• Print content is sent to the connected Bluetooth printer by design.
• If an image URL is provided, the external host receives the download request.
• No ad-tech or third-party analytics sharing in the observed implementation.

6. Security

• Local data is stored in app-private storage.
• HTTPS URLs are recommended for sensitive content.
• No transmission or storage method is completely risk-free.

7. Deep links

The app can receive external print invocations through sbp://print and compatible intents.

8. Children

SimpleBixolonPrint is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect children's data.
